A teenage girl is transported into a strange land of animated stones and embarks on a quest. We chose a forthright heroine and carried out a hair transplant and pastiched together various background elements to create a unified whole.

Skating on a fine line between ribaldry and tackiness, Pants Off Salmon features recipes designed to help singles to impress their dates. We wanted a design that made it clear the book was designed for both genders and looked less 'laddish' than the first edition.

Old Wine, New Bottles

Sometimes we are asked to redesign the cover for an existing book. The publisher may want something new, or not have the rights for the old artwork or simply can't afford the artwork rights. We have become proficient at creating reprised covers using very low cost imagery. It is always an interesting challenge to go up against an older design and try to refresh the appeal of the book.

The Colour of Ammonia

Dealing with the intricacies of project management and personal interaction, A Project in Ammonia required strong and rational typography and a diagram of the plant at the centre of the plot. The chemical notation for ammonia completed the composition.

The author wanted a cover that conveyed the struggle that professionals face in balancing their personal and professional lives. We kept the design simple and direct and the colour palette spare and focussed.
